In 1969, when the West side of Portage began increasing in population, Portage Northeast Little League was split, and West Portage Little League was founded and chartered, thus forming the third Little League in Portage. With the population growth continuing to expand to the West side of Portage, West Portage, by Little League rules, was forced to split into two leagues and two charters. This split occurred in 1992.
In 1970, the first structure was built at West Portage Little League. (Concession Stand)

In 1998, West Portage Little League won the Senior League Softball World Series and even had a road sign put up in Portage commemorating the win.
In 2011, West Portage Little League underwent a major renovation. In September, Bill Nelson and Charley Endres helped renovate the bathrooms at the concession stand. On March 28, 2012, the new renovations were approved by the state.
In 2013, West Portage Little League was able to get 5 new scoreboards from Daktronics for fields 3, 4, 5, 10, and 12. Thanks to Matt Milks and Tyler Depuydt for helping install the scoreboards.
